The FIS snow control gave the green light for the 63rd Vitranc Cup.

The controller of the International Ski Federation, Raimund Plancker, who is also the assistant director of the World Cup for the speed disciplines, today inspected the snow conditions on the slope and tested the snow surface together with Gorazd Bregant, the head of the course preparation, and Janez Šmitek, the race director. According to the decision of the World Cup management, the snow surface is suitable for the 63rd Vitranc Cup.

Gorazd Bregant, Head of Course Preparation, said. "Together with the Lift Company, we have deployed all available snow to meet the standards required by the International Ski Federation. Next week is pointing to a clearing, which in practice means below freezing temperatures cooling the snow and a harder surface, and we will try to take advantage of this to further prepare the piste. If the weather changes, we will adapt accordingly. The team is ready and trained, and the work enthusiasm is very high."

The president of OK Vitranc Cup, Gregor Benedik, added: "We will prepare the course with the snow that is available to us and there is not much of it. Every day we try to ensure a sufficient amount of snow together with the Kranjska Gora lift company. We are hoping that the weather will be kinder in the last few days, 3 cold nights would help us, but we will see how many there are. I am convinced that we have the best team in the world, with which we will of course do everything to make the races at the best possible level for the athletes."
