This weekend, the slopes in Podkoren will host the world's best alpine skiers, including the latest Olympic medalists from the Games in Italy.

A true sporting and entertainment spectacle is in store, accompanied by sunny weather.

Although it is warm and sunny in the Upper Sava Valley these days, it is cold enough at night to preserve a sufficient amount of snow cover, so everything is ready for the 65th Vitranc Cup competition.

"We expect very good conditions, we know how to adapt to the daily spring temperatures, and we will decide on the spot when to use water and salt to maintain a compact track," said Gorazd Bregant, head of competition track preparation. Skiers can look forward to excellent conditions on the course and another top-class competition.

The giant slalom will take place on Saturday and the slalom on Sunday. The first run will be at 9:30 a.m. on both days, and the second at 12:30 p.m.
